CASE STUDY: Datanet delivers intelligent police vehicles for the Republic of Moldova

In response to the growing need to enhance intervention efficiency and enable data-driven operations, a complex institutional ecosystem in the Republic of Moldova — comprising the General Police Inspectorate (IGP), the e-Governance Agency (AGE), and the Public Services Agency (ASP) — initiated a program to modernize its police fleet.

Datanet Systems, part of the Soitron Group, was selected to implement the Police Intelligent Car (PICAR) solution, integrating an advanced platform built on Mosy technology. The project has transformed police vehicles into mobile digital hubs, enabling real-time decision-making, streamlining administrative processes, and significantly improving operational efficiency.

”Currently, 31 intelligent police vehicles based on the Mosy platform are being tested under real operating conditions, with radar certification to follow. These vehicles integrate state-of-the-art technologies: 360-degree video recording, automatic license plate recognition, data storage, and digital report issuance. They are capable of detecting any violation defined by the Contraventional Code and will significantly contribute to reducing road incidents. The project, implemented with the support of the Romanian company Datanet Systems, represents an important step forward in modernizing public services delivered by the National Public Security Inspectorate of the Republic of Moldova.”
