As a Christmas wish, be better every day of the year! Under this slogan which motivated us in 2019, we got involved in the initiative “Be Santa Claus for a vulnerable child”. With the help of volunteers from Copacul cu fapte bune, a few thousand children will have a little more beauty in their Christmas holidays. We, at Datanet, gave up the natural tree and made a gift tree for these children and their families. The mobilization was exemplary in both Datanet Systems and also other companies and individuals involved.

Tons of good food, hygiene products, clothes and footwear, supplies, toys, etc. were gathered by Copacul cu fapte bune. The gifts collected will reach vulnerable children, disadvantaged families, refugees, homeless people from Bucharest, Ilfov, Călărași, Dâmbovița, Prahova, Ialomița, Buzău, Botoșani, Iași, Suceava. In Romania, about 2 million children live on the edge of poverty and until the authorities find long-term solutions, we can occasionally make their lives more beautiful.

The requirements of the program “Be Santa Claus for a vulnerable child,” were that the products be new, properly packaged and brought all in one day (December 14) in a single location. (Club Expirat, in this case). Non-perishable foods, hygiene products, new supplies, books (not necessarily new), toys (preferably new), games (can be used, but be whole), new clothes, etc. can be brought. There was no quantity limit. For easy distribution, volunteers recommended packages be labeled for a child or a family.

Copacul cu fapte bune is a volunteering program and can only manage well-planned actions. There are many similar projects, you can find them on their website or Facebook page, should you want to get involved in the actions of this group of volunteers. The programs are open to both companies and individuals.
